Disney Confirms MCU Agatha: Darkhold Diaries 2024 Release

Disney has officially verified the highly awaited debut of Marvel Studios' "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries," featuring Kathryn Hahn, on Disney+. The show is scheduled to premiere in 2024 as a part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Kathryn Hahn is set to return as the mysterious Agatha Harkness, a character that was first seen in the 2021 series "WandaVision." In the nine-episode series, Harkness will guide viewers through a realm of mysticism and mystery while uncovering more secrets of the Darkhold. This new episode will showcase a fresh group of witches in the MCU and also feature returning characters from the popular "WandaVision" show.
Jac Schaeffer, the creator of "WandaVision," will also bring us "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries" with music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, known for their work on "Agatha All Along."
Originally named "Agatha: House of Harkness" in November 2021, the show went through adjustments and eventually landed on "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries" in September 2023. Although there have been delays, fans can excitedly look forward to the next part of Agatha's story in 2024.
The show features an impressive lineup of actors such as Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Patti LuPone. Zamata is set to play Marvel Comics character Jennifer Kale, and LuPone is confirmed to portray Sicilian witch Lilia Calderu. The role Locke may take on is a subject of speculation, with theories proposing that he might play the character of Billy Kaplan, who is the Scarlet Witch's son.
"With the introduction of fresh characters, compelling narratives, and mesmerizing music, "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries" is set to become a notable inclusion in the MCU's Phase 5 roster."
Keep an eye out for further updates as the release date nears, and get ready to explore the magical world of the MCU with Agatha Harkness leading the way.
