Fan-Made Avengers: Infinity War Posters Get Creative With Math

The latest estimate suggests that the promo video should arrive next month, which would arguably be cutting it a bit fine in terms of promoting the film’s May 2018 release date. Kevin Feige and his Marvel Cinematic Universe cohorts are clearly confident that they don’t need a long marketing lead-in for a film so massive and widely discussed as Infinity War.
This lack of official marketing won’t put off the fan artists, though, as proven by BossLogic’s smart new set of unofficial Avengers: Infinity War posters. Each one of these snazzy one-sheets combines a memorable Marvel design with the mathematical symbol for infinity:
Fans will instantly recognize these iconic details pertaining to Robert Downey Junior’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. BossLogic also released another poster on Instagram, mashing together the colorful Infinity Stones to create the infinity symbol:
In lieu of any more official pieces of promotional content, these imaginative and intricate fan posters are sure to get a lot of attention. It’s a shame that BossLogic doesn’t work for Marvel, because it’s easy to imagine these posters scattered around theaters. They are eye-catching and intriguing, which could help garner even more word-of-mouth hype for Avengers: Infinity War among film fans.
However, it must be said that Marvel Studios has earned the right to do as much or as little marketing as they want. They’ve brought 17 superhero movies into existence as part of their Marvel Cinematic Universe, and not one of them has been a flop. It may be frustrating waiting for more Infinity War marketing, but if Marvel wants to hold that stuff back, it’s probably wise to trust their decision.
