Avengers 4 Casting Call May Reveal Scarlet Witch & Vision Spoiler
Vision and Scarlet Witch’s relationship may be getting more interesting in Untitled Avengers based on a new casting call. The fan community is still waiting to see any official footage for Avengers: Infinity War, and the lack of updates has put the ongoing production of its followup even more in the spotlight. The fourth Avengers film will close out Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and in doing so will set up the universe for years to come.
With so many characters set to be included in both of the upcoming Avengers movies, there are some that have been covered more than others. Two of the stars from early on in the production of Infinity War were Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) thanks to their evolving romantic relationship, and Avengers 4 may pay off that storyline in a big way.
A new post from Auditions Free (via SuperBroMovies) calls for an identical pair of twin boys that are roughly two years old for Avengers 4. They are only required for a two day shoot, so there is a chance they don’t have a big role to play. However, speculation has quickly formed the idea that these twins could very well be the children of Scarlet Witch and Vision.
Scarlet Witch and Vision have had a long-running romance in the comics, and it has continued to develop throughout their multiple appearances on film. They’ve yet to have any significant romantic moment on screen, but set photos for Infinity War have shown the pair kissing. In these photos, Vision is in human form, which sparked speculation this could be a dream, but either way their romantic relationship appears to be blossoming. If that is to continue in Avengers 4, the introduction of their children could be a way of doing just that.
The two have had twin boys in the comics that were created by Scarlet Witch’s magic. Thanks to the reality-altering nature of their creation, they were not raised by Scarlet Witch or Vision and didn’t even grow up together. Their children went on to become the superheroes known as Wiccan and Speed, having magic and speed abilities respectively, and served on the Young Avengers team.
Since this is mostly speculation at this point, there’s no telling who these twins will be. However, the introduction of them would bring more complexity to Scarlet Witch and Vision’s stories, while also making it more tragic if Vision does die at some point in either of the films. Perhaps it is even his death that is the catalyst for Scarlet Witch warping reality to give her “his” children. Not only could their inclusions add elements to Avengers 4, but also help lay the foundation for a Young Avengers team to form on the big screen.
