2018 Midseason Return Dates For Supergirl, Riverdale & More Revealed
It feels like the fall TV season has just started and yet, the midseason finales are already on the horizon. Before then, however, the Arrowverse will host this year’s big crossover – a two-night event titled Crisis on Earth-X and loosely based on the comic book saga of the same name. With The CW’s other small screen offerings fast approaching the halfway points of their respective season-long storylines too, the network announced when everyone’s favorite shows will be back on the air, following their traditional winter midseason hiatus.
Arrowverse fans can expect their favorite shows, save for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, to be officially back in business starting next year on Monday, January 15, with Supergirl kicking things off for the interconnected TV universe. The Girl of Steel will then be followed by the Scarlet Speedster’s The Flash on January 16, Tuesday and then Arrow on January 18, Thursday. Unfortunately, the schedule does not reveal the comeback date for Legends of Tomorrow, which is moving to a new day and timeslot. As for Riverdale, the newest popular series on the block will return on Wednesday, January 17. You can check out The CW’s complete return schedule below:

Another takeaway from the schedule is the confirmation that Black Lightning‘s series premiere is set for next year on Tuesday, January 16, right after The Flash. As for Legends of Tomorrow, chances are that it will be moved from its current Tuesday timeslot to Monday nights at 9 p.m. after Supergirl.
While every show from The CW listed above is currently gearing up for their respective midseason finale offering, the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Earth-X is arguably the most anticipated by fans. The annual TV special brings together all the superheroes across its four-show slate for an ensemble spectacle. This year, our heroes will gather once more to supposedly celebrate Barry and Iris’ long-awaited wedding – that is, until their villainous alternate Earth counterparts start to arrive and wreak havoc. The two-night crossover will air on Monday, November 27 and Tuesday, November 28.
